Q & A

North Carolina Mahi Fishing Spots

This is a simple Q and A section that may answer many questions about our fishing map system.

Please read through them to better understand many aspects and benefits of our original, one-of-a-kind fishing maps. They are listed in no certain order.

You cannot purchase what we offer from any other websites, charts, maps or the like. Our guides have provided a majority of our fishing spots for professional level results.

Q: Do you have Fishing Maps in other areas besides North Carolina?

A: Yes. We’ve expanded over the years into 6 Southern States. GA, SC, FL, AL, MS, LA and TX. Contact us @ gpsfishingmaps@gmail.com for more info on other states.

Q: Are there hidden costs with anything on this site or these fishing maps?

A: No, everything you see advertised is included, there are no gimmicks.

Q: Will this work with my GPS?

A: Our Fishing Spots Map Waypoint Import Files are included with every area we offer. These simple to use copy and paste files are emailed to you the same day of purchase. These files work with the following marine GPS models that accept an SD card: Garmin GPS, Lowrance GPS, Simrad GPS, Humminbird GPS and Raymarine GPS.

Q: Can I use my iPhone, iPad or Android Smart Phone with these Maps?

A: Yes. Files are emailed to you the same day of purchase that work with Google Earth on Android or IOS, and other free or very low priced GPS Apps that are readily available to get you on the water immediately. The names of those Apps are revealed in the included instructions that are sent to you after a purchase.

Q: Can I use my iPhone, iPad or Smart Phone as a GPS?

A: Yes. However, a marine GPS on your boat is highly recommended for accuracy and to avoid obstructions. Use your device for navigating to these fishing spots at your own risk. Remember, GPS units of any kind won’t steer you around obstacles, mud flats, sand bars, oyster beds, jetties or other obstructions. Be aware of your surroundings at all times no matter what device you use for navigation. You are responsible for your personal safety and navigation decisions that cannot be based on our fishing spots or maps. There is no replacement for experience on the water and proper boat handling.

Q: Are there multiple map discounts?

A: Yes. Please contact us for monthly specials using the contact button in the above website menu

Q: How do I install and use these these GPS or Mobile Device files?

A: We are very familiar with all GPS makes and models, GPS coordinates, Waypoint formats for your Android and IOS. A link to our help videos is included with any purchase which offer extreme detail in loading your fishing spots to all your devices.

Q: Is this the same as a Hot Spots or Top Spots Chip or Map?

A: No. Not in any way, nor affiliated in any way. We’ve been in the digital mapping business since Google Earth evolved. Although other fishing map companies offer an excellent service with great fishing spots, we offer more fishing spots per area utilizing a paid staff of local fishing guides, larger areas, personal help when needed, detailed help videos and free lifetime fishing spots updates when they become available for any area.

Q: How did you get all these fishing spots?

A: We work with a paid, private fishing guide cooperative network team. That is, a team of local fishing guides from each map area you see on any of our websites. Our guides have designated the mapping areas according to many of their better fishing spots as a group, and are compensated for their efforts in helping create some of the best digital fishing spots maps ever produced. Period.

Q: How do you know all this about mapping and waypoints?

A: Our lead mapping designer, Dana King, was an employee for the largest GPS manufacturer in the world for many years. This type of work was part of her Job. Without her and her team, this program would not exist.
